About the author

My name is Duncan Reid, I am a presentation layer developer currently residing in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. My interests lean toward the technical aspects of the project. Areas such as programming, interactivity, useability and prototyping, but when given the chance I do love to play designer.

Over the past 9 years I have grown along with the Flash Platform, I use it every day in one form or another. I dabble in server side technology and external data sources such as PHP and MySQL and frequently use XML, XPath and Remoting with Flash. Since the release of Flash Player 7 I have worked on numerous interactive applications and websites driven primarily by Flash video and have also worked with Flash Communication/Media Server to record and deliver streaming media. There are also those rare, yet needed, occasions where I get the chance to develop compliant XHTML and CSS driven websites.

I am a sucker for old school print/design and am addicted to icons.
